Home Teeth Whitening Systems
This method uses customized trays and whitening gel that is taken home for treatment. However, you must receive instructions on how to apply and use this treatment correctly, and your dentist must approve this as a safe method for each patient.
Properly fitting mouth trays are needed to ensure the whitening gel stays in place. Failure to do so might lead to poor results and could damage gums and other soft tissues of the mouth. The length of the treatment varies with each brand, but usually requires a few hours a day for 1-2 weeks.
